BIO

Judyta Kluza-Sporniak​ was born in 1996 in Cracow, Poland. In 2020 she graduated from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw with a Master degree in Violin Performance where she studied in Janusz Wawrowski class. In 2022 she graduated Royal Conservatory in Brussels where she studied with Philippe Graffin.  She has also learned in Scuola di Musica di Fiesole under the tutelage of Yair Kless.

Judyta has participated in many violin competitions. Among these the most important are: 3rd prize at 10th International Arthur Grumiaux Competition​ in Brussels (Belgium), 3rd prize at ​11th Michał Spiasak International Music Competition​ in Dąbrowa Górnicza (Poland), Special Prize at ​27th Musical Competition organized by „Societa Umanitaria”  in Milan (Italy), 1st prize at ​12th International Competition „Musica Insieme” in Musile di Piave (Italy), 1st prize at ​BachSolo Competition​ in Poznań (Poland), 3rd prize at ​13th International Violin Competition „Young Paganini” ​in Legnica (Poland). Being chosen as one of 15 violinists, she got admitted to the 2nd round of ARD Competition 2021. In 2022 she was selected one of 40 (out of over 220) violinists to take part in the 16th International Wieniawski Competition.

Judyta has already performed as a soloist with various orchestras: Poznan Philharmonic Orchestra, The Symphony Orchestra of Zabrze Philharmonic, The Symphony Orchestra of Zielona Gora Philharmonic, Polish Orchestra Sinfonia Baltica, Lutosławski Youth Orchestra, Polish Radio Orchestra in Warsaw, Ardente Chamber Orchestra, Ostinato Orchestra.
In November 2021 she premiered a solo violin part of “Lines and Cycles” - a double concerto written and dedicated to her by Wojciech Kostrzewa.

She took part in various music festivals, such as: Delft Chamber Music Festival, Cartagena Music Festival, Bachfest in Leipzig, Witold Lutosławski Festival “Chain”, Emanacje, European Chamber Music Academy in Leipzig, Iedeeren Klassiek, Spaces of Music, Music Gardens, ISA Festival, International Festival of Young Laureates of Music Competitions, Piła Festival and Masterclass (being awarded the “Musical Personality” title), Krakow Film Music Festival.

Judyta actively performs as a chamber musician, winning awards at chamber competitions including 1st prize at ​5th International Chamber Tournament​ in Bydgoszcz (Poland), 1st prize at ​12th International Competition for Young Musicians „Luigi Zanuccoli” in Sogliano al Rubicone (Italy) and 1st prize at ​17th International Competition „Talents for Europe”​ in Dolny Kubin (Slovakia). She is a member of ​Kluza-Sporniak Duo,  Bryggen Brugges Strings and is often invited to co-create ensembles with the best polish and international musicians. Since 2021 she is performing as a guest member of Meccore String Quartet.
Judyta has also lead the orchestras as a concertmaster, working witch such conductors as Mirosław Jacek Błaszczyk, Michał Klauza, Massimiliano Caldi, Rafał Janiak, Michał Dworzyński, Piotr Sułkowski.


She has improved her violin skills with such professors as Yair Kless, Eyal Kless, Jonian Ilias Kadesha, Corina Belcea, Patrik Jüdt , Ulf Wallin, Stephan Picard, Christian Altenburger, Bomsori Kim, Evan Rothstein, Agata Szymczewska, Krzysztof Jakowicz, Szymon Krzeszowiec, Marcin Baranowski and members of Kronos Quartet.

Among several CD recordings that she took part in, there are: „Chopin University Chamber Orchestra: Penderecki Britten Szostakowicz”, „Młodzi kompozytorzy warszawscy: Chmielewska, Lasota, Jachim, Sienkiewicz & Sułecki". In 2020 the author project of the CD album "Beeth250ven – Piano and chamber works" was realized with her participation.

For her achievements, Judyta has been awarded scholarships of The Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, The Prime Minister of Poland, Jütting Foundation, “Bridge to the Future” by Globalworth and Julian Cochran Foundation, Pro Musica Bona Foundation, FCUM Rector, the Mayor of Cracow.

Except for performing activities, Judyta is also active in teaching.
Since 2023 she is a violin teacher at Music School nr 1 and Music School nr 4 in Warsaw as well as assistant of Janusz Wawrowski violin class at Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. 

Judyta plays the 18th century violin firmed by Sanctus Serafin, given her on loan by Janusz Wawrowski.
